"There’s an irrefutable necessity to make something from nothing—to invent."
Every day is an assault on the senses. The impending macabre of sounds, colors, lights, STRESS. The only route to relief is art – my art. Painting in my studio with whatever tool is at hand – a water gun, extinguisher, my own two hands. This is the outlet of my energy, my center of peace.
I was always abstract, a creator with a mind full of outlandish ideas. Originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut, I knew my small town would never fulfill my abilities, so I left the first chance possible. In my early years, I moved to Los Angeles with big dreams of working in film. After a few years of studio and music production, I embarked on a new adventure with a move to London in 2016. It was there that I uncovered my passion for painting. A few weeks of experimentation turned into six years of mastering my craft, an evolution of techniques as would a student of the arts. I found my niche in the abstract arts, expressing the convoluted landscape of my mind on canvas. My work echoes loss, love, pain, joys, anger, all the facets of my life displayed in my most vulnerable state for the world to interpret.
While an entirely self-taught artist, my work has been recognized cross-nationally. I’ve displayed my artwork in galleries throughout London, including an evening pop-up at The Gallery on the Corner and showings with UThink Creative. My work has been selected for album and song covers for various musicians and producers in England; a piece of mine can be found on display in City Athletic in Victoria, London.
In 2020, I moved to New York City, expanding my clientele to buyers in Canada and the United States. Inspired by my urban surroundings, I continue to expand the breadth of my work and delve deeper into the creative world. Who knows what the future holds for me. All I know is I will continue to spiral as I do, with a paintbrush in hand and my mind on the canvas.
